• TACCHI-MORRIS times two!

Thursday and Friday March 8 and 9 saw two shows of 'GRIMM and GRIMMER' from storyteller and founder of the Bristol Storytelling Festival Martin Maudsley and musician/ singer Ailsa Mair-Hughes. Although we were short on numbers for the evening adult show on the Thursday night, the high quality of performance more than made up for it. Martyin and Ailsa took us gently and with an intimate invitation into a world of magic and mischief, malevolence and mystery with three beautifully re-created and re-imagined tales from the brothers of Grimm.

In stark contrast Martin and Ailsa performed a similar show to a enthusiastic hoard of 240 year 7 pupils who came to the main auditorium at the TMAC and bulged the walls with their energy, imagination and squeals of participation. When asked to complete the story after the words and music tailed off to create a cliff hanger, the responses were overwhelmingly forthcoming, filled with malice, retribution and revenge, twists and turns of vivid and enlivened imaginations

Who says they are TOO OLD for stories...!*?
